Warrick Mountain Fisheries- and Duquesne Light Provide the fishing trip
South Western Pennsylvania's Duquesne Light Company not only provides the power for our energy needs but is deeply involved in the treatment of the mine acid water from area mines. They restores it to the surface free of acid and heavy metals, and use the newly refurbished water to grow large trout and give the children of Family Tyes the opportunity to catch the fish of a lifetime.

Largest Fly Tying class in years begins the 2006 class schedule off with a Bang! Here are pictures of our students in the Beginnings Class taught by Steve Slavonic and Intermediate Class taught by Jarret Kasan. Because of the overwhelming crowds an advanced class starts next week taught by Bill Zahurak.

Student Mentors living our motto, "We Learn-Share-Teach and Pass It On"
Jack Bogut, a local radio personality and member of the Family Tyes board, coined the phrase about the Family Tyes mission, "We Learn-Share-Teach and Pass It On". This slogan has become a guiding beacon and appears not only on our web site but is evident in the actions of our students as they continue beyond the classroom. This is a story illustrating that theme.
