Family
Tyes
is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that connects youth, schools,
families, communities and businesses. Family Tyes utilizes a shared
interest in fly-fishing as the vehicle to enhance family
relationships and youth development. Family Tyes offers:
Club Program
- An in school or after school membership program, that
organizes classes in Rod Building, Fly Tying, and Fishing. We
sponsor local, overnight, and Montana Dream Trips for youth and
their families.
Mentor
Program - For volunteers to support our club efforts.
Physical Education Program - A
curriculum and equipment package designed to teach fly-fishing in
Physical Education. This package meets national standards and places
equipment, supplies, textbooks, lessons and all supplemental
materials for teachers to offer a complete fly-fishing experience.
We assist teachers in the completion of Federal Fishing Grant
Applications and can equipment your whole program.
Student
Business Program - Club members experience real business
experiences during clinics, seminars, and business enterprises
throughout the country. They make presentations, interact with the
public, create newsletters, brochures and are currently teaching the
very classes they took many years before.
Outreach
Program - Club members introduce thousands of students
and families to fly fishing and fly tying by working in conjunction
with Fishing Shows, Scouts, Safari Club, Ruff Grouse Society and
others.
